Boards in the designer

Indoor board — gymnasium, arena or rink. These are the basketball boards the phone designer opens with; the computer version offers 55 sizes from 7' to 18' wide, and the Pro designer the complete Fair-Play catalog.

What a basketball scoreboard shows

A basketball board shows the score, game clock, period, team fouls, bonus and possession, and the larger models add player panels — number, fouls and points for each player on the floor. The same board serves volleyball and wrestling in a multi-sport gym, so many schools choose one board for the whole season.

Around the board

Indoor boards take a flat top billboard for the school name rather than a truss, an optional video display, and a Bottom sign for sponsors. Add the Premium Upgrade — Electronic Team Names or Rear-Illuminated Captions — for a board that names both teams. Pair it with a Scorer’s Table for a complete courtside set.

  • Board and trim colour — pick both from the Fair-Play palette; the header follows the board colour unless you choose its own.
  • Top billboarda flat band above the board with your facility name.
  • Video display — an LED video screen for replays, messages and advertising, placed above, beside or below the board.
  • Bottom sign — one to five sponsor panels under the board.
  • Premium Upgrade — Electronic Team Names or Rear-Illuminated Captions, either or both.

Also called: gym scoreboard, indoor scoreboard, high school basketball scoreboard.

Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. Nothing on this site requires a sign-up. A saved picture, PDF or link is your copy of the design.

Where is the price?

Pricing depends on the size, the parts and the installation, so it is not shown in the designer. Send the design and Fair-Play gets back to you with a quote; nothing is charged.

Can I change a board after I send it?

Yes. The link in your confirmation reopens the design on a computer, and your Fair-Play representative can adjust anything with you before an order is placed.

Is the phone designer the whole catalog?

No — the phone carries a few boards per sport. The computer version has more sizes, and the Pro designer opens the full Fair-Play catalog with logo placement and free layout.
